Resided in Oriskany Falls, NY
Chad Kowalski, 44, passed away on March 22, 2026, at his home in OriskayFalls.
Born on April 4, 1981, in Utica, New York, Chad was raised in Clinton, where he attended Clinton Elementary, Middle, and High School. Following his graduation, he continued his education at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica.
In his professional life, Chad was truly a jack of all trades. He worked as a machinist and also provided HVAC and electrical services throughout his community. He was widely known for his exceptional mechanical ability and had a deep passion for all things mechanical, with a rare talent for building and repairing nearly anything from scratch. In his spare time, he enjoyed restoring old cars and furniture, and in recent years focused on sailboats, steamboats, and a houseboat that he designed and built.
Above all, Chad deeply loved his daughters. He cherished the time he spent with them, especially cooking together and teaching them how to fix things, sharing with them the skills and passions that meant so much to him.
Chad will be remembered for his skill, creativity, and the passion he brought to everything he worked on.
He is survived by his daughters, Amelia Mae Kowalski and Liliana Elaine Kowalski; his father, Dennis Kowalski of Clinton, New York; his mother, Debora Everett, and stepfather, Scott Everett, of New Hartford, New York; his sister, Mylissa Davis and her husband, Sean Davis, of Fairfax, Vermont; and his former wife, Allison Cucura. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
At this time, there are no calling hours or funeral services planned. Arrangements are with Simple Cremation CNY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chad’s memory to suicide prevention efforts or to support his daughters.
